I am excited to participate, once again, in this year's Ride for the Feast. Ride for the Feast is a 2-day, 140-mile Maryland bike ride from Ocean City to Baltimore City, May 11-12, 2019. This event raises money for Moveable Feast, the only Maryland nonprofit that delivers healthy meals to people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Moveable Feast services clients residing in Baltimore City, the 5 surrounding counties and on the Eastern Shore, all at no cost to the recipients. Last year, Moveable Feast delivered 706,902 life-saving meals to 4,911 Marylanders.
This ride is also symbolic - my fundraising goal of $1,500 equals the amount it costs Moveable Feast to feed one client for a year. 140 miles represents the furthest distance Moveable Feast travels to deliver meals to a client.
With your generosity, I hope to help Moveable Feast achieve it's goal of delivering 1 million meals in a single year. 100% of your donation goes directly back into the services provided by Moveable Feast. Your support will aid thousands of our neighbors here in Maryland.
“Moveable Feast is more than just the nutrition that they give you food-wise; they give you spirit. It changes your life.” Marvin, a Moveable Feast client.
