It means a lot to me that you took the time to check out my fundraising page. The Ride for the Feast is an amazing event for an incredible cause. Below has some details of the event and more about Moveable Feast who is the benefiting non-profit organization of this event. Although I am starting my fundraising journey late this year I am so very excited to join the greater Moveable Feast family with Constellation ride team this year. I encourage you to read more below and please do not forget to donate to support me on this 140 mile ride that I will be doing on a fixed-gear bike with no gears! Thanks again!
Ride for the Feast is a 2-day,140-mile Maryland bike ride from Ocean City to Baltimore City, May 2-3, 2020.
The event raises money for Moveable Feast, the only Maryland nonprofit that delivers healthy meals to people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Our services are provided in Baltimore City, the 5 surrounding counties and on the Eastern Shore, all at no cost to our clients. Last year, Moveable Feast delivered 743,940 life-saving meals to 6,060 Marylanders. This ride is also symbolic - the fundraising minimum of $1,500 is the equivalent of the food costs to feed one client for a year. 140 miles represents the furthest distance Moveable Feast travels to deliver to a client.
With your help, we are working to deliver 1 million meals in a single year – each one made and delivered with love. 100% of your donation goes directly back into the services provided to our clients. Your support will aid thousands of our neighbors here in Maryland.
“Moveable Feast is more than just the nutrition that they give you food-wise; they give you spirit. It changes your life.” Marvin, a Moveable Feast client.
