Ben bikes really far for a really good cause...AGAIN.
Dear friends and family,
This year I am participating in the Ride for the Feast for the third time, biking 140 miles from Ocean City to Baltimore on May 2-3 with a bunch of wonderful, crazy people. And this time on a new bike!
This event raises money for Moveable Feast, the only Maryland nonprofit that delivers healthy meals to people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-threatening illnesses. Their services are provided to clients in Baltimore City, surrounding counties, and the Eastern Shore. Last year, Moveable Feast delivered 743,940 life-saving meals to 6,060 Marylanders at no cost.
The ride is symbolic -- 140 miles represents the farthest distance Moveable Feast travels to deliver healthy meals to a client, and I have commited to fundraising $1,500, the equivalent of the food costs for feeding one client for a whole year.
With your help, we are working to deliver 1 million meals in a single year – each one made and delivered with love from the Moveable Feast family.
AND: 100% of your donation goes directly to the services provided to clients by Moveable Feast.
